 4-6 Record, CFA National Conference

The team continued to grow all season long.  Sometimes growth doesn’t always look pretty….players do not just learn positions, plays, and schemes, they learn to become mentally tougher and learn that in order for a group to achieve a big goal – TEAM must sometimes come before ME.  These are not easy concepts for 9 and 10 year old’s but this is why we as parents value football.  This is why we bring our kids to practice everyday; football demands respect in a time where it is barely required in schools.  The sport chews up those that don’t have the long term vision to see that hard work REALLY does pay off, or that pride tastes a lot better than quit or defeat.  This is the mentality of football and definitely the most important part of what we as coaches hope to instill into our players.  While there were bumps in the road this year, I feel like our players rallied around what it means to be a New Cumberland Saint, and more importantly, what it means to be a mentally tough person in life.  This team improved all season, proving to be a tough out against the most prolific of opponents.  One of the best moments of the season was our dismantling of Superbowl runner-up Susquehanna and our overwhelming victory in the rivalry game against Cedar Cliff.  Great season Saints!
